The Lake Powell area is massive as are the outdoor oppotunites. With addition of the 1.7 million acre Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument in 1996 our area became even more on the radar screen.
Lake Powell is 186 miles long, has 96 major side canyons, and when full, 1960 miles of shoreline. It is also 560 feet deep at Glen Canyon Dam when it is full.
